The Opportunity
This isn't a role where you'll simply be producing drawings and calculations.
You'll have the opportunity to take ownership of projects, influence design decisions and work collaboratively with talented engineers and designers across multiple disciplines.

Key Responsibilities
Lead the electrical design and delivery of building services projects from concept through to completion.
Develop innovative and sustainable electrical engineering solutions.
Act as a key point of contact for clients, architects and external design teams.
Produce and review electrical calculations, specifications, drawings and technical documentation.
Work closely with mechanical and environmental engineers to develop fully integrated building design solutions.
Contribute to early-stage design discussions and influence key engineering decisions.
Attend client meetings, design workshops and site visits.
Support and mentor junior engineers while contributing to the development of the wider team.
Take ownership of your workload and projects, with the autonomy to manage your responsibilities effectively.
About You
We're looking for an experienced Electrical Building Services Design Engineer who combines strong technical ability with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ideally, you will have:
Proven experience in electrical building services design within a consultancy environment.
The technical confidence to lead electrical design packages and manage projects.
A strong understanding of electrical engineering principles, design standards and regulations.
A high-level understanding of mechanical building services and environmental design, with an appreciation of how the different disciplines interact.
An interest in sustainability, energy efficiency and low-carbon building design.
Strong client-facing skills and the confidence to contribute to design discussions.
The ability to work independently, take ownership and make informed technical decisions.
A collaborative approach and a genuine interest in developing both yourself and those around you.
