The Principal Electrical Engineer Opportunity

The consultancy enjoys an excellent mix of work, ranging from traditional building services projects through to larger, technically challenging and complex schemes.

As a Principal Electrical Engineer, you will take a leading role in delivering electrical building services designs, managing projects, developing client relationships and supporting the growth of the electrical engineering team.

Importantly, this is a business where your contribution will be recognised, your ideas will be valued and there is genuine potential for progression as the Manchester office continues to expand.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the electrical design and delivery of building services projects from concept through to completion.

• Work on a varied portfolio of projects, including complex and technically challenging schemes.

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects and other engineering disciplines.

• Provide technical leadership, guidance and mentoring to junior engineers.

• Take responsibility for project quality, programme delivery and technical compliance.

• Collaborate with colleagues across the wider business, working on projects throughout the UK.

• Play an active role in the continued growth and development of the Manchester office.

About You

We are interested in speaking with experienced Senior or Principal Electrical Engineers who are looking for the next step in their career.

Ideally, you will have:

• Strong experience in electrical building services design within a consultancy environment.

• A sound understanding of electrical design principles, relevant regulations and industry standards.

• Experience managing projects and coordinating with multidisciplinary design teams.

• Excellent communication skills and the confidence to build relationships directly with clients.

• The ambition to take on greater responsibility and contribute to a growing business.

• A degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.

• Chartered status would be advantageous but is not essential.
