Location: Edinburgh
Salary: £35,000 - £65,000 (Experience Dependant)

The Opportunity
We are currently working with an established specialist façade contractor who is looking to appoint a Façade Designer or Senior Façade Designer to join their growing team in Edinburgh.
The business has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality, technically complex façade packages across a range of sectors, including commercial, residential, education, leisure and public infrastructure.
With in-house design, engineering, manufacturing and installation capabilities, they offer a fantastic opportunity to work on projects from initial concept and technical design through to manufacture and installation.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Façade Designer looking to develop their technical expertise or an experienced Senior Designer seeking greater responsibility within a specialist façade business.
The Role
Depending on experience, responsibilities will include:
Producing detailed façade design and technical drawing packages for a variety of building envelope projects.
Designing and detailing curtain walling, rainscreen cladding, glazing, windows and doors.
Developing technical solutions in line with architectural specifications, project requirements and relevant industry standards.
Working closely with internal engineering, project management, manufacturing and installation teams.
Coordinating with architects, consultants, contractors and other project stakeholders.
Supporting projects through the full design process, from initial concept and tender stages through to construction and installation.
Ensuring designs are technically compliant, buildable and delivered to programme requirements.
About You
We are interested in speaking with Façade Designers and Senior Façade Designers who have:
Previous experience working within a façade contractor, specialist subcontractor or building envelope consultancy.
Experience producing technical drawings and detailed design packages for façade systems.
Knowledge of curtain walling, rainscreen cladding, aluminium systems, glazing or other building envelope products.
Proficiency in relevant CAD and BIM software.
An understanding of façade construction methods, materials and technical detailing.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
For Senior-level applicants: Previous experience taking ownership of design packages, coordinating design teams and managing technical delivery would be advantageous.
