Director of Fire Engineering – FRAEW & External Wall Safety
We are seeking a highly experienced professional to lead our External Wall Assessment and Fire Engineering services.
The successful candidate will have extensive experience undertaking and reviewing Fire Risk Appraisals of External Walls (FRAEW) in accordance with PAS 9980, together with a strong background in EWS1 assessments, façade inspections, cladding risk assessments, and remediation advice.
Requirements:
Chartered Engineer (CEng) and/or MRICS qualified
Significant experience delivering FRAEW assessments in accordance with PAS 9980
Extensive knowledge of EWS1 assessments and external wall systems
Strong understanding of current building safety legislation and guidance
Excellent report writing and client-facing skills
Experience leading technical teams and complex projects
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the delivery and technical review of FRAEW and EWS1 assessments
Provide expert advice on external wall fire safety and remediation strategies
Review and approve technical reports
Support clients with Building Safety Act and Fire Safety Act compliance
Drive service growth and technical excellence across the business
