Description
We are currently recruiting for a Senior Structural Engineer for a growing consultancy in central London. You will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality commercial, residential and industrial projects from inception to completion. You will manage the design and analysis of building structures, working with a multi-disciplinary team while ensuring that projects are delivered on time and to the highest standards. You will be running your own projects, attending meetings with clients, architects, and contractors, and coordinating the efforts of engineers, graduates, and technicians.
What We're Looking For:
- Chartered or Incorporated status (preferably MIStructE/ICE, or equivalent)
- 10-15 years of experience in structural engineering
- Strong experience in managing projects independently and leading a team
- Proficiency in structural design and analysis, with experience in various materials such as steel, concrete, timber, and masonry
- Proficient with structural design software, including TEDDS, Tekla Structural Designer, etc
- A degree in Structural or Civil Engineering
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the delivery of civil and structural engineering projects, coordinating with internal teams and clients
- Lead the design and analysis of building structures using design software
- Oversee and guide project engineers, graduates, and technicians, ensuring the production of high-quality design information
- Attend site meetings and external design meetings with clients and other stakeholders
- Prepare technical reports, correspondence, and documentation
- Develop and manage design delivery programmes to ensure projects meet deadlines
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
