About the Role
We’re delighted to be partnering with a leading multidisciplinary consultancy to recruit an experienced Senior Fire Engineer for their Birmingham office. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking team working on a diverse portfolio of projects across commercial, residential, education, and healthcare sectors.
As a Senior Fire Engineer, you’ll play a key role in the design, management, and delivery of innovative fire safety strategies — helping shape safe, sustainable buildings across the UK.
Key Responsibilities

Lead the development of fire safety strategies for complex building projects.

Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers and graduate staff.

Liaise with clients, architects, building control, and other stakeholders.

Conduct fire modelling, evacuation analysis, and risk assessments.

Ensure all designs comply with current fire safety legislation and relevant standards (BS 9999, BS 7974, etc.).

Contribute to the continuous improvement of the company’s fire engineering processes and best practices.
About You
-
Degree qualified in Fire Engineering or a related discipline.

Minimum 5 years’ experience in a consultancy environment.

Strong working knowledge of UK fire safety codes and regulations.

Proven experience delivering projects across multiple sectors.

Excellent communication and report-writing skills.

Ideally working towards or already hold Chartered Engineer (CEng) status with the IFE or equivalent.
