Working Arrangement: Hybrid – 3 days office / 2 days working from home

The Opportunity
We are currently working with an established, internationally recognised multidisciplinary engineering consultancy who are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Façade Engineer to join their London office.
The business has built an impressive reputation for delivering innovative engineering solutions across some of the world's most technically challenging and architecturally ambitious projects.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced façade professional to take ownership of complex projects, contribute to innovative façade designs and work alongside a highly skilled team of engineers, architects and technical specialists.
The successful candidate will play an important role in the technical delivery of projects, working closely with clients, architects, contractors and multidisciplinary design teams from concept through to construction.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the technical design and development of complex façade engineering packages across multiple project stages.
Undertake and oversee façade design calculations, structural assessments and technical specifications.
Develop innovative façade solutions, including curtain walling, cladding systems and bespoke building envelope designs.
Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, contractors and specialist subcontractors to ensure effective design integration.
Review technical drawings, calculations, specifications and subcontractor design submissions.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, supporting their professional development.
Attend design meetings, contribute to technical discussions and maintain strong relationships with project stakeholders.
Support project delivery through to construction, providing technical input and resolving design-related challenges.
Requirements
Degree qualified in Façade Engineering, Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
Proven experience working within a façade consultancy or specialist façade engineering environment.
Strong technical understanding of façade systems, including curtain walling, rainscreen cladding and bespoke building envelope solutions.
Experience undertaking structural calculations and façade design assessments.
Good understanding of relevant British Standards, Eurocodes and industry guidance.
Experience managing technical design packages and coordinating with multidisciplinary project teams.
Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise confidently with clients and project stakeholders.
Previous experience supporting or mentoring junior engineers would be advantageous.
