The Opportunity
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join a highly regarded, multidisciplinary building services engineering consultancy in London.
Our client has an established reputation for delivering innovative, sustainable and technically challenging projects across a diverse range of sectors.
Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of projects, they are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer who can take ownership of electrical design packages, lead projects and work closely with clients and multidisciplinary design teams.

The Role
As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will take responsibility for the electrical design and delivery of multiple projects, acting as a key point of contact for clients, architects, contractors and external design teams.
Your responsibilities will include:
Leading electrical building services design from concept through to completion.
Producing and reviewing electrical design calculations, drawings, specifications and technical schedules.
Taking ownership of electrical design packages, ensuring projects are delivered to a high technical standard.
Designing electrical systems including lighting, power distribution, emergency lighting and associated building services.
Coordinating with architects, structural engineers, mechanical engineers and sustainability consultants.
Attending client meetings, design workshops and site visits.
Providing technical guidance and supervision to junior engineers.
Ensuring designs comply with relevant regulations, British Standards and industry best practice.
Supporting the delivery of sustainable, energy-efficient building solutions.
About You
We are interested in speaking with experienced Electrical Building Services Engineers who are confident taking responsibility for design delivery and communicating with clients and external project teams.
Ideally, you will have:
A minimum of 5 years' commercial experience in electrical building services design, ideally within an engineering consultancy.
A degree, or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
Strong technical knowledge of electrical building services systems and design principles.
Experience producing electrical calculations, specifications, drawings and schedules.
A good understanding of the construction process and multidisciplinary design coordination.
The confidence to attend meetings and liaise directly with clients, contractors and other design professionals.
Experience supervising or mentoring junior engineers.
Knowledge of electrical design software such as AutoCAD or Revit would be advantageous.
Chartered Engineer status, or a desire to work towards professional accreditation, would be beneficial.
We would also welcome applications from experienced Electrical Engineers who are ready to step up into a Senior position.
