We are seeking an experienced and motivated Project Structural Engineer to join our clients structural team in Nottingham. You will be involved in diverse projects including commercial, residential, high-rise, and motorway for a young, rapidly growing consultancy that prides itself on the development of their engineers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and analysis of structural systems, primarily using steel and concrete.
- Lead and manage projects from initial concept through to completion, ensuring client expectations are met.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure designs are cost-effective, practical, and meet safety standards.
- Prepare detailed calculations, reports, and specifications for structural projects.
- Ensure compliance with UK building codes, standards, and regulations.
- Mentor and support junior engineers and assist with their professional development.
Required Skills and Experience:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as a structural engineer in the UK.
- Strong knowledge of steel and concrete design.
- Proven experience in delivering commercial, residential, high-rise, and motorway projects.
- Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., TEDDS, Tekla Structural Designer, etc.).
- Solid understanding of UK building regulations and design codes.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
