Multifamily Superintendent

$110,000 – $120,000 per year + benefits
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Multifamily Superintendent to oversee ground-up and/or renovation construction projects in the Sarasota area. This role is responsible for managing all on-site construction activities, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, a hands-on approach, and extensive experience in multifamily residential construction.
Key Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day on-site construction operations for multifamily projects
Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and field personnel
Ensure adherence to project schedules, budgets, and quality standards
Enforce safety protocols and maintain OSHA compliance on-site
Conduct daily site walks and inspections
Review plans, specifications, and shop drawings for accuracy and constructability
Lead subcontractor meetings and coordinate sequencing of trades
Identify and resolve field issues proactively
Maintain accurate daily logs, reports, and documentation
Collaborate with Project Managers, Architects, and Engineers
Qualifications
5–10+ years of experience as a Superintendent in multifamily construction
Proven experience with ground-up or large-scale renovation projects
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and sequencing
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
OSHA 30 certification preferred
Proficient in construction management software (Procore, Buildertrend, or similar)
Preferred Experience
Garden-style, podium, or mid-rise multifamily developments
Experience working in Florida (knowledge of local codes and weather considerations)
Track record of delivering projects on time and within budget
