This is an exciting fire safety job opportunity for a fire safety consultant to join a leading fire safety consultancy firm based in Yorkshire, committed to delivering innovative and effective fire safety solutions across a diverse range of sectors. The company is passionate about ensuring the safety and well-being of people by providing expert advice, fire risk assessments, and fire engineering solutions.

We are seeking an experienced Fire Consultant to join our client in Leeds. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in advising clients on fire safety measures, conducting fire risk assessments, and developing comprehensive fire strategies that meet regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct detailed fire risk assessments across various property types.
• Develop and implement fire safety strategies in compliance with UK regulations.
• Providing support in passive fire including compartmentation surveys & fire door surveys
• Provide expert advice on fire safety to clients, including architects, developers, and building owners.
• Collaborate with design teams to integrate fire safety measures into building plans.
• Prepare detailed reports and documentation for clients and regulatory authorities.
• Stay up-to-date with current fire safety regulations, standards, and best practices.
• Support clients through the building control process and liaise with relevant authorities.

Essential Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Fire Consultant or in a similar fire safety role.
• Strong knowledge of UK fire safety regulations, including Approved Document B and BS 9999.
• Experience in conducting fire risk assessments and developing fire strategies.
• Ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex fire safety concepts to clients.
• Relevant qualifications, such as a degree in Fire Engineering or a related field, or a professional membership (e.g., IFSM, IFE).

Desirable Attributes:

• Experience working in a consultancy environment.
• Familiarity with fire modelling software (e.g., CFD).
• Strong project management skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• A proactive approach with a keen eye for detail.
