Description

Job Title: BREEAM Consultant
Location: Dublin
Job Type: Permanent
Salary: £35,000 - £45,000

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver BREEAM assessments, managing the full certification process from registration to final submission.
  • Use BREEAM assessment tools and related software to model, track and verify project performance against relevant credits.
  • Understanding of carbon assessments, energy modelling and building physics analysis to support BREEAM, LEED and WELL strategies and credit achievement.
  • Prepare clear, robust technical reports, evidence packs and certification documentation for submission to the relevant bodies.
  • Lead site visits to review construction progress, verify compliance with sustainability requirements, and capture on‑site evidence.
  • Participate in client and design team meetings, presenting assessment progress, risks and opportunities in a clear, professional manner.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve technical queries, close out actions, and maintain programme and quality targets.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience delivering BREEAM assessments, with strong knowledge of BREEAM standards, criteria and assessment methodologies.
  • Proficient in the use of BREEAM assessment tools and associated software platforms.
  • Solid understanding of energy modelling and building physics fundamentals as they relate to building performance and certification.
  • Demonstrated experience in LCA, embodied carbon analysis and interpreting outputs to guide design decisions.
  • Strong attention to detail and a systematic approach to quality assurance in certification processes.
  • Excellent technical report writing skills, with the ability to produce clear, concise and well‑structured documentation.
  • Confident client communication skills, with experience engaging stakeholders and managing expectations throughout the assessment process.
  • Self‑motivated, organised and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in a relevant discipline such as Environmental Engineering, Building Services, Architecture, Sustainability, or similar.
  • 2 Years of relevant experience completing Sustainability Assessments as a minimum.
  • BREEAM Assessor qualification (New Construction and/or International would be desirable) or clear evidence of working towards accreditation.
  • Additional credentials in LEED, WELL or related sustainability frameworks are advantageous.
